Successful appearance at CeMAT

Trade Fair Review 2008

Heilbronn – This year's CeMAT showed marked growth rates: the number of visitors alone increased by more than 20 per cent. MLOG also benefited from this positive trend, as it once again presented itself as the leading provider of system solutions in Germany and Europe. More than 60,000 experts made their way to Hannover, many of them reaching the MLOG stand, which was in great demand throughout the fair – especially of course during the now traditional stand party, which once again could be clearly ranked as one of the high points of the five-day event.

In addition to current trends and developments in the sector, discussions focused on MLOG's new products and solutions, including new developments such as the standard warehouse operated by a standard lifting beam conveyor for pallets, and integrated system solutions such as the new Byk-Chemie distribution centre in Wesel with its new fully-automatic drum and can picking system.

For MLOG, CeMAT has long been regarded as one of the most important fairs because of its international orientation. In 2008 about 40 per cent of the specialist visitors came from abroad, 75 per cent of them from Europe; the proportion among exhibitors was even higher at 45 per cent. “This visitor structure fits perfectly with our strategy of opening up new sales potentials in international markets, without neglecting the home market”, summarised Mark Vogt, Head of Marketing and Sales of MLOG.

In the “Storage technology forum” within the framework of CeMAT, Mark Vogt also gave a presentation to sector specialists on concepts and solutions for the chemical industry, a segment in which MLOG has for years been regarded as one of the technological front runners.

Mark Vogt, Head of Marketing and Sales of MLOG Logistics, presented logistics concepts for the chemical industry. Moderated by: Dr. Andres, CHEManager.
